About Me
Nate is the facilities manager at Galilee Bible Camp, and Rebecca serves as the camp nurse. Nate also is the camp lifeguard, and both fill in wherever they are needed. (The staff at GBC says that AMF stands for “All Missionaries Flexible.”)
Nate and Rebecca are both graduates of Pensacola Christian College (PCC). Nate has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and Rebecca has a bachelor of science in nursing.
Nate was brought up in Normal, Illinois and, after college, returned to the area to work at Caterpillar. After a few months at a well paying job, he discovered that there was more to life than making money. He wanted to do something that would make a difference in others’ lives. He received a generic invitation to apply for a teaching position at PCC and decided to see where it led. The next year, the Lord led him to teach engineering and chemistry classes at the college, where he stayed for two years. He then worked construction for the following five years before heading to GBC.
Rebecca grew up in the Kansas City, Missouri area and moved to Pensacola after graduation from college. She worked at a local hospital, mostly in the Emergency Department, for the next seven years before God called the couple to GBC with American Missionary Fellowship.
