Location: Mt Morris, IL

Occupation: Field Director

About Me

Brett Belleque provides care and resources for missionaries serving in children’s ministries. He might tell you he has been with AMF for more than thirty-four years—not because he was a missionary prodigy who joined at the ripe old age of thirteen, but because (as a second-generation AMF missionary) his time with AMF started as a boy on his dad’s field in northern Wyoming. It was there that his heart for ministry developed.

Brett and his wife, Cindy, formally joined AMF as full-time missionaries on the Western Montana Field in 1997 after twelve years in pastoral ministry. They had an active ministry to youth, children, and seniors in Montana until Brett accepted the role of North-Central regional director in 2008. Two years later, he became the first director of children’s ministry resources for AMF.

Brett and Cindy are graduates of Judson Baptist College, and Brett also holds an M.A. in educational ministries from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. The Belleques, who have four children, now reside in Mount Morris, Illinois.

About Children’s Ministries

According to the Barna Research Group, 85% of Christians receive Christ between the ages of 4 and 14. This 4/14 window is a target for ministry for American Missionary Fellowship! Many of our missionaries work directly with children in camps, kids’ clubs, Vacation Bible Schools, and Sunday schools.

The director of children’s ministry resources works closely with our missionaries, providing resources and training to those who minister to kids. The quarterly AMFKIDS Newsletter and the Children’s Ministry Mentoring Handbook are just two of the resources used to support our missionaries. We are also looking forward to the completion of our new AMFKIDS website, expected to debut in the fall of 2010.
