SW Ohio
Title: Area Missionary
Description: We need a couple or individual to start new ministries in this rural farming area, where there are many small towns that need effective Gospel outreaches. Types of ministries could include church planting, youth and children’s ministries, jail and prison outreaches, AMF Learning Communities, Bible camping, VBS ministries, and others.
Location: The thirteen counties in the southwestern corner of the State of Ohio: Darke, Miami, Champaign, Clark, Preble, Montgomery, Greene, Butler, Warren, Clinton, Hamilton, Clermont, and Brown (Parts, or most, of Hamilton and Clermont Counties could become the main responsibility of the Greater Cincinnati Metro Area missionary – also listed as a current opportunity – if the Lord supplies a missionary to fill that position.)
About the About Children’s Ministries Region
According to the Barna Research Group, 85% of Christians receive Christ between the ages of 4 and 14. This 4/14 window is a target for ministry for American Missionary Fellowship! Many of our missionaries work directly with children in camps, kids’ clubs, Vacation Bible Schools, and Sunday schools.
The director of children’s ministry resources works closely with our missionaries, providing resources and training to those who minister to kids. The quarterly AMFKIDS Newsletter and the Children’s Ministry Mentoring Handbook are just two of the resources used to support our missionaries. We are also looking forward to the completion of our new AMFKIDS website, expected to debut in the fall of 2010.
