Baptism
Praise the Lord for an amazing Easter service, perhaps the best we’ve ever had. Almost 250 people attended the service, and many lives were touched by the Easter message. The music was awesome!
We also had two incredible baptisms in April. One was of a man who suffered a stroke and is in a wheelchair; three brothers helped fulfill Ralph Graham’s desire to be baptized by immersion, and there was hardly a dry eye in the house. A second baptism was of a neighbor to some property we were looking at, who had attended a Coos Bay City Council meeting to express some concern about our putting in a church near her house. (The city council did not approve the acquisition of the property.) The Lord kept working on her until she finally attended Shoreline, and she has been attending ever since. Last month, she followed the Lord in water baptism at Shoreline and has become a regular member.
