David Pennington

Chief Financial Officer

David grew up in a Christian family and has attended the same church all his life. (He was on the “cradle roll.”) Though he lives just six miles from his childhood home, his work as AMF’s chief financial officer allows missionaries to take God’s Word all across the nation.

After graduating from Drexel University with a degree in accounting, David became a short-term missionary with Latin America Mission, serving in their home office for two years. Upon his return to Pennsylvania in 1976, he accepted an offer to become a member of the Finance Department at the Home Office of American Missionary Fellowship; his financial skills have been benefitting AMF ever since.

David and his wife, Susan, have been married since 1980, and their two sons are both in college. Susan is a nursery school teacher and oversees the Beginners’ Department for their church’s Bible school. David has served on the church’s Board of Trustees, has been a guitar player and worship leader, and currently oversees the middle-school and high-school Worship Teams.

Isaiah 40:31 (NIV) – “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
