Gerald D. Wisneski

Chairman

Gerald D. Wisneski was elected as the new chairman of trustees at the May 26, 2009 meeting.

Elected to the AMF Board of Trustees on March 25, 1997, he is owner/vice president of Stillman Volvo, West Chester, Pennsylvania. His wife’s name is Judy, and they have three children. He attends the Church of the Good Samaritan; over the years he has served as an elder, Sunday school teacher, and Bible study leader.

James (“Jim”) W. Bowdre

Elected to the AMF Board of Trustees on March 25, 2003, Jim Bowdre works for IBM as a human resources partner in Case Management & Appeals. His wife’s name is Janice, and they have two adult daughters. He is a member of Hope Community Church, where he serves as an elder.

Porfirio Colón

Porfirio Colón joined the Board of Trustees in 2000 at the recommendation of Ken Lutters. The two had worked together at Sunoco and were part of a group who met weekly to pray for the company. Colón writes, “I have served during some very challenging times, but I have always trusted that we were doing the Lord’s work and that He alone would get us through. He has been faithful, and we are still moving ahead.”

He is now retired from Sunoco and has moved to Alvin, Texas, becoming the first AMF board member to reside outside the Philadelphia area. He is a member of Heights Baptist Church, where he is involved in the “Handy Man” ministry that provides voluntary trade-craft services (electric, carpentry, masonry) to the church and to families in town who cannot afford to pay for the services. His wife, Rosa, volunteers in Hope Clinic, a church-sponsored dental clinic that offers low cost dental care and shares the Gospel with clients. The Colóns have five daughters and five grandchildren.

R. Rich Cundall

R. Rich Cundall was added to the AMF Board of Trustees in October 2009. He is the first pastor selected to the board and the first member from the West Coast. His church, Hessel Church in Sebastapol, California, has been associated with the ASSU/AMF since 1912.

Rich grew up in a pastor’s home and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the tender age of four. In 1982 Rich graduated with a B.A. in biblical studies and soon after married his childhood sweetheart, Laurie. He spent two years playing professional basketball in France before returning to school to earn a Master of Divinity degree, which he received from Talbot Theological Seminary in 1986. Rich has ministered since then at Hessel Church, initially working with the youth and becoming senior pastor in 1992. In 2000 he completed a Doctor of Ministry degree from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. Rich and Laurie have four children: Carly, Candace, Rose, and David.

Jeffrey DeVault

Jeffrey DeVault first became aware of AMF (then ASSU) when he heard missionaries speaking at Aldan Union Church near Philadelphia; he later spent a week with Bob and Sharon Mathieu during a summer in the 1970s. DeVault brings his experience as a financial advisor to the board’s Investment Committee. He and his wife, Christine, are soloists and section leaders at Ardmore Presbyterian Church. They have two married children, Amy and Jeffrey.
